About
Built on a route, not in a boardroom.
Bidas started as an internal tool at a janitorial company that needed to win commercial contracts against bigger competitors. It worked. Now it's a product.
The origin
First it was Alta Bids. It won contracts.
A commercial janitorial company had a problem: their work was excellent, but their proposals looked like everyone else's — Word files with the pricing buried in a paragraph, sent as attachments and never heard from again. Property managers couldn't tell the bids apart, so they picked the cheapest or the biggest name.
So the company built an internal tool called Alta Bids: structured, magazine-quality PDF proposals with real covers, scope cards, and investment tables. The documents started winning commercial contracts against larger competitors — because when the work samples look equal, the better document gets the signature.
Bidas is that tool, rebuilt as a product for every service business with the same problem: cleaning crews, contractors, landscapers, MSPs, consultants — anyone whose proposals should look as good as their work.
One ribbon. One unmistakable B.
The Bidas mark folds five colors into a single B — the same gradient that runs through every proposal it produces.
The tool today
Same job, bigger stage
The internal tool that won janitorial contracts now ships as a polished desktop app — this is the builder your proposals are made in.

What we believe
Four convictions, shipped in every build
Your data belongs on your machine
Bidas is local-first: proposals, clients, and pricing live in a database on your computer, not on our servers. Sync is a backup you can inspect, export, or delete — never a leash.
Documents are craft
A proposal is the only sample of your work a client sees before signing. We sweat page breaks, table alignment, and typography so the document argues for you before you say a word.
Offline is a feature, not a fallback
Dead zones, site visits, airplanes — your tools shouldn't care. Everything in Bidas works with the cable unplugged; the network only adds backup, hosted links, and licenses.
Honest software
A free tier that's genuinely useful. A license you can restore by email instead of a support ticket. A delete button that actually deletes. No dark patterns, no hostage-taking.
The company
demelos LLC, an independent software studio
Bidas is made by demelos LLC — a small, independent studio with no outside investors setting the roadmap. That means the product answers to the people who use it: pricing stays straightforward, the free tier stays useful, and features ship because service businesses asked for them.
Being independent also means we answer our own email. Questions, ideas, and bug reports reach the people who build the app.
